Jamie Lee Curtis is an American actress and author. She has starred in a variety of movies, most notably horror films, earning her the title "The Scream Queen".
Jamie Lee Curtis started acting after one semester at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She made her film debut as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's timeless-but-terrifying classic Halloween (1978). She reprised the role in three of Halloween's later sequels: Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), and Halloween: Resurrection (2002), though her role in Resurrection is a fairly small role as her character is killed by her older brother and nemesis, Michael Myers, at the film's beginning. She is scheduled to reprise the role once again in Halloween (2018). In addition, she went on to star in other movies as well, such as Christmas with the Kranks (2004), in which she had a lead role alongside Tim Allen, and Veronica Mars (2014), where she portrayed Gayle Buckley.
