Tina Carlyle is the deuteragonist and the love interest of Stanley Ipkiss and his alter-ego in the movie adaptation of The Mask. She is portrayed by Cameron Diaz.

Tina was born in 1973 or 1974. She had a passion for singing since a young age and hoped to become a star one day. She eventually set her plan in motion but, she was in for a rude awakening. She eventually found herself in Edge City and heard about a new nightclub called the Coco Bongo looking for a leading lady. With nothing more to lose, Tina went to try expecting the worse but to her Suprise, the owner Niko was impressed, and she became the main attraction of the club. She soon started dating Dorian Tyrell, who managed the club for Niko. Little did Tina know that Dorian wanted to overthrow Niko.
Bank Job and meeting Stanley Ipkiss[]

Dorian finally let Tina in on his plan to rob the Edge City Bank and needed her help to pull off, telling her all she needed to do was wear a hidden camera and scout the area. Tina was against it as she was just a singer not a criminal, but Dorian managed to persuade and charm her into agreeing to help him pull it off. The next day Tina walks into the bank after it started raining, wearing a tight red dress. That catches the eyes of employees Stanley Ikpiss and his friend Charlie Schumaker as they see her walk in and get a good look at her beautiful legs. Once Tina sees them, she hands Charlie her coat and his clearly mesmerized and goes up to Stanley to ask for his help in opening up an account. As they start talking about opening up an account. Tina breaks up his tie. Then asks for tissues to clean her wet dress. Then continues to talk about th tie and says it looks like a ink block tie while he corrects her and says its a Rorschach tie. Tina then says it reminds her of a "a young woman riding bareback, sort of a... Lady Godiva or something." Tina then grabs Stanley's tie and asks what he thinks about it? He responds by saying it's a powerful tie and it suppose to make him feel powerful. Tina asks if it works and watches as she crosses her beautiful legs, causing him to sharpen a pen in a pencil sharpener. Stanley then snaps out of it and asks about the different account plans, Unknown to him that Tina has a camera in her purse and Dorian and his crew are cheering her on.

At night time Tina heads to the back of the Coco Bongo in her limo. This time she is sporting a tight black and white dress and has her hair in a bun. She was looking forward to performing after such a dress day at th bank. She hears a commotion outside. Her chauffer lets her out and she recognizes Stanley from earlier and says hi. She then asks if he is alright after seeing him drenched in water. He tries to play it off by saying hes catching some air and Tina is amused by this. She then sees an usher drive up a beaten up car and learns it Stanley's. He drives off and she waves bye to Stanley and enters the back entrance of the club so she can prep for her show, knowing the audience is awaiting her.

The next night, the lights are dim at the Coco Bongo and the announcer gives it's gorgeous star a special introduction. The stage lights up and the leaves up top open and emerges the most beautiful flower of the coco bongo Miss Tina Carlyle. The crowd is going crazy as Tina is sporting a white and silvering evening gown made of mesh, her most revealing outfit yet. She moves her hands across her body and grabs the mic and sings her song Gee Baby. Tina then makes her way into the audience and teases a few lucky men. She then walks up to a palm tree and strokes her hand down her body and that catches the attention of a man his wasn't something that was new to Tina, but this mysterious man 's eyes and heart were popping out. He then started to howl like a werewolf. This was in a yellow zoot suit and wearing a green mask. Tina finished her song strong and the lights shined bright on her. The Mask then whistled and smacked himself with a hammer before moving towards the top of the stage. Tina finally saw the mysterious man. The Mask got the place rocking and Tina smiled and was intrigued by this man. The Mask made his way to Tina and the two start dancing. He threw her up and down and swung her around all over. After spinning Tina around, The mask grabbed Tina's hands for one last tango, she got on his back and he turned her around. They looked like they were finished, but the mask had one more trick up his sleeve. The Mask started to spin Tina around and around, At first Tina didn't think much of it and was enjoying the rush, but she started to realize she was moving faster than the speed of light and soon turned into a human tornado. Finally th Mask let Tina go and she screamed at the top of her lungs as she went sky. It was a few seconds, but it felt like a lifetime for Tina as she was doing summersaults nonstop until finally she fell. The mask looked board and yawned at first, then pulled a clock out and noticed his lady was falling. Tina landed in the Mask's arms and her turned around a few times so they can meet eye to eye. Tina was loss for words, before she can say anything. The mask kissed her, which caused one of her shoes to fly off. After few more seconds, The Mask stopped kissing Tina. She opened her eyes and was just smile. She didn't want this moment to end but they can Dorian and his men. One of them shot at The Mask causing him to drop Tina to the ground, but he still held on. Dorian then told Tina to get out there and she left in anger.

The next morning, Dorian tells his henchmen that he is offering 50 grand to anybody who can find The Mask. He tells them he wants them alive. Tina is reading a magazine and smoking a cigarette and is amused by his anger. He then tells her shes nothing but extra backage and is jealous that The Mask kissed her. Despite enjoying every moment with The Mask, Tina assures him she didn't have choice when they kissed. Dorian warned her that it will be payback for anybody that crosses him. Tina goes to the Edge City Bank and sees the aftermath of the robbery from The Mask. She goes up to Stanley and tells her she won't really have an account there anymore. A concerned Stanley asks her if everything was alright since she was doing so good at the club. Tina tells him it's not his problem. Then Tina asks if he knew anything about The Mask. He then takes her to talk in private and is curious why she wants to know. She tells him that The Mask danced her and she enjoyed it. Stanley tells her he doesn't know who he is and she is about to leave. Stanley then tells her The Mask is an old friend of his and he taught him how then dance. Then tells her if she wants he can arrange a meeting for them at the park. Tina is happy to hear this and kisses Stanley on the cheek and calls him a nice guy. Later that Night Tina shows up to the Park and sees Stanley there, she is shocked, but smiles and asks why he is there. Stanley told her he wanted to make sure they meet. She tells him that was nice of them. Tina tells Stanley she used to come to the park a lot more. Then they start to talk about the colors in the sky and she smiles at Stanley. Stanley tells Tina, that his friend will be there soon and proceeds to leave. Tina then chases after Stanley and all of sudden The Mask pops out of the bush. She is shocked to see her. The Mask then spins towards Tina and tells her to kiss him and he will reveal his croissant, he will spread her pate, and he will dip his ladle in her vichyssoise. Disgusted by this Tina knees him in the groin. Tina attempts to Run but The Mask is blocking her way and she eventually sits back down on the bench. The Mask then pulls out cigarette and asks if she wants one. He then takes a puff and makes a heart with the smoke. Tina is amused by this and The Mask attempts to kiss her again, but LT Mitch Kellaway and his men stop him and Tina Runs off. Later that Night Tina learned that Stanley is The Mask and in Jail. Dorian managed to gain possession of it. Tina then packs several bags and decides to leave town. The Next morning Tina goes to visit Stanley in and Jail and he reveals the truth. Tina asks Stanley how the mask works and that Dorian is planning to attack the Charity ball at the Coco Bongo. he Says it will bring one's inner desires to life and with somebody like Dorian everybody is in danger. Tina then thanks Stanley for the way that he treated her. She says she enjoyed the previous night. She then grabs his hand and proceeds to kiss him, but she is stopped by the guard. She then tells Stanley goodbye and she will contact him when she can. As Tina is heading to her car outside the station, She sees Dorian's henchmen Orlando. She moves quickly and then sees another henchmen Eddy. She then cuts his face with a knife and runs for her life. Stanley hears her screaming for help. She then runs toward an alley and is being chased by a car and is soon corned by Dorian's men. Dorian exits the car and asks what she was doing. Tina lies and says she wanted to see if Stanley knew anything. Dorian then thinks Tina helped the Mask with the bank and one of his henchmen finds Tina's bags in the car. Tina then grabs her and pushes her into the wall and asks if she was planning a vacation. She says no. Dorian then tells her to pick out a pretty dress that they are gonna have a good time at the charity ball. She then replies and he smacks her face, telling her to get out of his face. Tina picks a black and red slinky dress to wear to the charity ball and enters Dorian's limo. She is about to smoke a cigarette but Dorian stops her and tells not to start the party early. He then reveals that there is a bomb next to her feet. Later that Tina, Dorian tells her to relax and touches her hair, Tina attempts to back away. Dorian then says he needs to dress up for the ball and puts the Mask on, Tina watches in fear as he transforms into the Monster he always was deep down.

Dorian along with his henchmen and Tina enter the Coco bongo by forcing a door down and knocking out the guards. That alerts Niko, both him and his men go to check out the disturbance and recognizes Dorian's henchmen, but has no idea who the imposing man with a Green Mask is and demands to know he he is. Dorain then tells him hes just an ex-employee looking for his payback or backpay. Niko then figures out the Monster is Dorian. Within seconds Dorian and all of his men kill Niko's men. Dorian then taunts his former boss to shoot him. Niko unloads a whole clip and his shocked nothing happens. Dorian managed to absorb the bullets and fires them back at Niko. Tina could only watch as hr former boss was murdered in cold blood. Tina then witnesses Dorian's men blow up the piggy bank in the ceiling that had all the charity money. Dorian then Takes Tina to the waterfall and ties her to the tree with explosives near her feet. She calls him bastard and Dorian mocks her and says this is her big production number and Shes gonna go out with a bang. Stanley managed to sneak into the club and is soon discovered by Dorian's henchmen. Dorian's orders his men to bring him to him. Tina then pleads with him. He tells her its too late for last requests. Tina then says all she wants his a kiss. Dorian is confused by this. She tells him just one last kiss. Dorian's men are nervous since then can't stop the bomb. He agrees to her request and attempts to kiss her with the mask on, that creeps Tina out. She then says she wants a kiss from the real Dorian and loved the way he kissed her. Dorian gives in and starts kissing Tina. As their smooching Tina is trying to get her feet free and after a few seconds she is successful and is able to kick the mask out of his hand. Stanley's dog Milo gets the mask and fights Dorian's henchmen. Stanley sees this as an opportunity to free Tina and she pleads with him to hurry as there isn't much time on the explosive. Dorian stops Stanley in his tracks and the two engage in a brawl. At first it looks like Dorian is winning but Stanley manages to get the advantage and knocks Dorian into a slot machine. Tina smiles at Stanleys victory and sees him take the Mask off a Milo. However Dorian's men shoot the mask out of Stanley's hand and he goes after it as they attempt to shoot him. After all the gunfire, Staney emerges as The Mask and scares Dorian's men with his fake gun. Tina pleads with Stanley to hurry as there are just seconds left. The mask races towards Tina and rips the bomb off her and eats it. Soon both see Dorian is back on his knee armed with a knife, not ready to accept defeat. As he enters the waterfall, The mask draws a lever and Dorian is flushed down the drain and his knife falls. With Dorian defeated, he takes the Mask off and attempts to kiss his woman, but both are interrupted by Lt Kellaway and his men. Stanley unties Tina and both leave the club holding hands. Charlie then takes Tina and Stanley to the bridge. Both exit the car and Stanley asks Tina if she really wants the mask gone since Stanley is just gonna be himself when its gone. She doesn't respond and throws the mask into the water and kisses Stanley. They stop kissing for a brief moment and smile at each other, Stanley then says smokin, so deep down he still is The mask and continues to Kiss Stanley. Both are now the owners of the Coco Bongo Eventually the Mask comes back into their lives and both use it to fight crime. They eventually get married and have children.

Personality[]
At first she comes across as manipulative as she is trying to seduce Stanley Ipkiss and his Friend Charlie Schumaker when scouting the bank for her boyfriend Dorian Tyrell. Tina runs into Stanley later that Night and says hello to him and even asks if he is ok and waves good by to him. When Stanley becomes the Mask and they dance, it's clear Tina loves to have a good time. When Stanley gets arrested, Tina visits him to say goodbye and thanks for the way he treated her.

Tina is a drop dead gorgeous sultry woman in her early 20s with blonde hair and blue eyes. She Stands about 5'9" and weighs around 120 pounds. Her nails are painted red She is seen throughout the movie wearing fancy dresses and outfits as well as jewelry.

Tina is great at seduction as she is able seduce Stanley Ipkiss and Charlie Schumaker. While performing at the Coco Bongo, all the men in attendance are mesmerized by her especially the mask as his howling, whistling and has his eyes and heart popping.
Tina is great manipulation when Stanley Ipkiss is talking to her about opening up an account she changes the subject which allows her to seduce Stanley more. Towards the end of the movie Tina is able to trick Dorian into kissing her so she can kick the mask out of his hand
